The Rockets have been dealt another serious blow.

According to a report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, centre Clint Capela will miss four to six weeks with a right thumb injury.

The team is already dealing with injuries to starting point guard Chris Paul, who has missed the team's last 11 games with a strained hamstring and former Sixth Man of the Year Eric Gordon, who has missed the last seven games with a knee issue.

Capela has been excellent this season, averaging 17.6 points and 12.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks while shooting 63.1 percent from the field through the team's first 42 games. Houston, who has won 13 of its last 17 games currently sits at sixth in the Western Conference with a 24-18 record.

In Capela's absence, the Rockets will lean on big men Nene, Marquese Chriss and Isaiah Hartenstein to fill in. Mike D'Antoni could also be forced to play small ball, which the team has the personnel to do.

Houston will take the floor without their young star for the first time Tuesday as it hosts Memphis.
