Harris confirmed the deal during an appearance on 95.7 The Game's Joe, Lo and Dibs, with The Athletic's Shams Charania reporting that the Phoenix Suns declined the 30-year-old's team option for next season, freeing him to link up with the Warriors.

Fredette signed a two-year deal with the Suns last season, returning from China for the end of the regular season. He appeared in six games for the Suns in 2018/19, averaging 3.7 points and 1.3 assists in 10.8 minutes per game.

Before returning to the NBA last season, Fredette spent three productive seasons playing in China's CBA, averaging 36 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.6 steals per game in 2018/19, while shooting 47.6 percent from the field and 41.9 percent from three.

With Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson sidelined for an extended period, the Warriors could look to Fredette to add more scoring and three-point shooting on their roster for next season.

Fredette has played in 241 NBA games for five different teams across six seasons, after being selected with the #10 pick in the 2011 NBA draft.
