Report: LaMelo Ball officially declares for 2020 NBA Draft

Potential no. 1 pick LaMelo Ball has officially declared for the 2020 NBA Draft, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

REPORT: LaMelo, Ball brothers sign with Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports

Ball, who Charania noted was included in the "professional" category of the list of early-entry candidates, bypassed college and play professionally in Australia's National Basketball League (NBL) with the Illawarra Hawks straight out of high school and is currently ranked as the as the no.2 prospect on ESPN's Top 100 for 2020.

While his season was cut short in Australia due to a foot injury, the youngest Ball brother put his talent on full display with a string of impressive performances, becoming the youngest player ever to record a triple-double in the NBL and just the fourth player in NBL history to record back-to-back triple-doubles.

Through 12 games, Ball averaged 17 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 7.5 assists, shooting 37.5 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from three-point range on his way to being named the NBL's Rookie of the Year.
