It appears as though Lance Stephenson could finish this season in the NBA.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the 29-year-old is in "strong talks on a potential deal" with the Indiana Pacers.

As Stephenson has been playing for the CBA's Liaoning Flying Leopards, Charania added that he would need clearance from his Chinese team and FIBA if the two sides do agree to a deal.

The Pacers selected Stephenson with the 40th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. This would be his third stint with the Pacers, as he spent the first four years of his career in Indiana and signed with the franchise as a free agent in 2017. The Pacers then declined the team option in his contract in following the 2017-18 season, leading to him joining the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2018-19 season.

In 68 games with the Lakers, Stephenson averaged 7.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 0.6 steals.

Stephenson has career averages of 8.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 0.7 steals in the NBA. In addition to the Pacers and Lakers, he has played for the Charlotte Hornets, LA Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans and Minnesota Timberwolves.
