The Los Angeles Lakers' busy off-season now turns to free agency, following their reported trade for Anthony Davis.

The Lakers will look to add a third star to join Davis and LeBron James in Hollywood and according to The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor , Toronto Raptors small forward Kawhi Leonard is high on the list, once he becomes a free agent this summer.

Fresh off being named Finals MVP after leading the Raptors to the NBA championship, Leonard's decision on where to play next season has the potential to shake up the league, which is already preparing for a blockbuster summer of moves.

The 27-year-old previously expressed interest in joining his hometown team prior to being traded to the Raptors, however, the Lakers will have to wait until July 30 to complete the Davis deal in order to create enough salary to fit Leonard's max contract on the books.

The Lakers cannot officially complete the Davis deal until July 6, which means they would only have $23.7 million available in cap space to sign a free agent, if Davis doesn't waive his $4 million trade bonus.

Waiting until July 30 would give them $32.5 million in cap space - enough to lure a third star.

It is unclear whether Leonard will re-up with the Raptors, with teams like the Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks long-reported to have interest in signing the two-time champion and two-time Finals MVP.

The Lakers are reportedly also intrigued by the potential of adding Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker or a possible LeBron re-union with Kyrie Irving, seemingly better fits alongside James, Davis and Kyle Kuzma, giving them some balance in the backcourt
