DeMar DeRozan reportedly won't be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, DeRozan has informed the San Antonio Spurs that he is opting into his $27.7 million player option for the 2020-21 season.

DeRozan is now set to be an unrestricted free agent in the 2021 offseason.

DeRozan is entering his third season with the Spurs. In 2019-20, he led the team in scoring with an average of 22.1 points per game on a career-best 53.1 percent shooting from the field. The Spurs just missed the playoffs, finishing the season with a 32-39 record.

Had DeRozan not opted into his player option for the upcoming season, he would've been one of the best unrestricted free agents available.
