Richard Jefferson compares Vince Carter to Stephen Curry in heartfelt message

On the same day that the NBA announced the 2019-20 has been suspended in response to the coronavirus outbreak, Vince Carter played in what he has acknowledged could be the last game in his NBA career.

In the days since, Richardson Jefferson, who was teammates with Carter as a member of the New Jersey Nets, has taken to Instagram to thank the eight-time All-Star for everything he has brought to the game of basketball if he has played his final game.

I used to argue with my college teammates that you were they GREATEST DUNKER of ALL-Time. Only to be the Robin to your Batman a few years later in this commercial. What Steph did to the 3pt line you did to dunking. You pushed every athlete to see what they could do. Spinning opposite way, arm in the rim, and you made the dunk contest cool again. If you did played your last game Vince I just wanted to say thank you for all the excitement you brought to the game of basketball for the last 60 years.

Carter has career averages of 16.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. He's the first player in NBA history to play in four different decades.
