On Nov. 14, 2015 (IST), Satnam Singh made his NBA G League (D League then) debut for the Texas Legends.

Only a day earlier, he was named to the opening night roster of the Texas Legends - the D League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks, the team that drafted him 52nd overall in the 2015 Draft.

He would go on to make his debut on opening night of the 2015-16 G League season, in the team's season opener against the Austin Spurs. He would finish with four points, three rebounds, and an assist in 10 minutes of action.

The game would make Singh the first Indian-born player to play in an NBA G League game. It was the first of many benchmarks Singh set for Indian-born ballers in the NBA that year.

Of the team's 50 games that season, he would play nine including two starts with averages of 1.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in 7.9 minutes per game.

Part of his season included a historic and landmark matchup against Sim Bhullar, the first Indian-origin player to play in the NBA (in April earlier in 2015).

Singh would play another season - the 2016-17 campaign - in the G League as a member of the Texas Legends before returning to India.
