Utah Jazz's Jordan Clarkson wins 2021 Sixth Man of the Year

Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson capped off his stellar season by winning the 2020-21 Kia NBA Sixth Man Award.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a career year in Utah, averaging 18.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 68 games (1 start) as the Jazz finished with the league's best record of 52-20 and the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.

Clarkson becomes the first player in Jazz franchise history to win the award and was presented the trophy by his teammate and fellow Sixth Man of the Year Finalist Joe Ingles, live on TNT's broadcast.

Clarkson ran away with the award, finishing with 65 first-place votes and 407 total points from a global panel of 100 sportswriters and broadcasters, while Ingles finished second with 34 first-place votes and 272 total points. Derrick Rose finished in third with 77 points and one first-place vote.

Ingles and Clarkson formed a devastating tandem off the bench this season, with Clarkson's microwave scoring giving the Jazz's offence a huge boost as he led the NBA in 3-pointers off the bench with 203, which is the fourth-most threes by a reserve in NBA history.

He finished the regular season with two 40-point games, five 30-point games, and 23 games with at least 20 points. His season-high came against the Golden State Warriors, dropping 41 points, also scoring 40 against the Philadelphia 76ers, giving him two of the five 40-point games off the bench in Jazz franchise history.
