It's been nearly two months since Principal Singh's deal with the NBA G League was announced, marking a landmark moment in Indian Basketball history.

Through August, the 19-year-old has been training hard to be in the right physical shape for the NBA G League Ignite squad once the new season begins. However, he knows how an opportunity can impact one's life, just like the regional tryouts of the ACG NBA Jump program in 2017 did to his.

So, it should come as no surprise when in the first week of September, the NBA Academy alum was giving back to the future generation.

He provided motivation to young kids from NBA Basketball School India program, as part of India on Track's Online Sports Festival, by interacting with them and sharing his journey among many other things.

As part of the Online Sports Festival, the young kids who signed up also got a chance to attend and experience:

  • A masterclass session with NBA Academy India Player Development coach Ronald Cass
  • NBA Game Analysis session with Bryan Gamroth, a member of Basketball Opeations, NBA India
  • Strength and Injury prevention workshop with Javier Arnaiz - Strength and Conditioning coach, NBA Academy Latin America

India on Track's Online Sports Festival was just one of many ways the NBA Basketball School India program has connected with kids at home during the Coronavirus pandemic. They have also conducted special virtual classes, and video calls with NBA Academy India student-athletes.
