WATCH: Simmons, Gordon, Mitchell and Sabonis headline ridiculous day of NBA dunks

#Gordon

The NBA might be trending towards three-point shooting, but today the league looked more like a game of NBA JAM.

With 10 games on deck, it felt like everyone was just trying to out-dunk each other, with each game seemingly offering a contender for dunk of the day.

From Slam Dunk contest favourites Aaron Gordon and Donovan Mitchell, to Domatas Sabonis doing it for the big fellas, check out these epic dunks from today's action.

Aaron Gordon

Style points go a long way here!

Late in the fourth quarter against the Pistons, Gordon took flight to crush home this alley-oop, but added a cheeky shoutout to Karl Malone by putting one hand on the back of his head.

Extra points due to this bucket cutting the Pistons lead to 94-93 late in the fourth. If you pull off this dunk in crunch time, it should be worth 3 points.

Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Mitchell had the home crowd on their feet and it wasn't just becuase of the Jazz's purple throwback unis.

Mainly, it was becuase of this:

Dallas' Maxi Kleber and Luka Doncic tried to get in the way, but Mitchell might as well have not seen them under the rim, given the ferocity he threw down the dunk.

Ben Simmons

At 6-foot-10, Ben Simmons is a nightmare to guard, but when he hits you with an in-and-out-dribble and explodes to the hoop.....there's probably not too much you can do.

Domatas Sabonis

Sabonis put in an impressive performance against Sixers big man Joel Embiid, with 16 points and 11 rebounds and even though the Pacers lost 100-94, he'll be able to at least smile about this moment in the third quarter.

Karl-Anthony Towns

The Lakers have struggled to protect the paint this season and KAT didn't hesitate to try his luck.

LeBron James

Of course it wouldn't be a day of dunks, without LeBron James.
